The Rebello de Sousa of Portugal - The President, the Father and the Son

There is something curious about this Rebello de Sousa lineage and it is not just the case of Marcelo's son and the twins. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa is nowadays Portugal's President.

The twins affair reports to a pair of Brazilian girls, twins, from a family related to  Marcelo' son living in Brazil.

Marcelo' son, Nuno, allegedly used his father position to obtain a special and very expensive treatment in a Portuguese health institution for those Brazilian twins. Quite a scandal.

The Father - Baltazar Rebelo de Sousa

Just rewind now some decades...

Even Marcelo's father, Baltazar, Baltazar Rebelo de Sousa, was not that image that many praise so much, he had very dark aspects too.

He ordered that a case against the Ombudsman of Casa Pia de Lisboa [Portuguese state institution taking care of poor and orphan children], José Francisco Rodrigues, to be archived, terminated, in the early 1970s.

Baltazar Rebello de Sousa at the time headed the ministries of Corporations and Social Assistance and Health and Assistance, after been the Portuguese governor-general in Mozambique in 1969 and 1970.

What lawsuit against the Ombudsman of Casa Pia? Why? The lawsuit blocked by Rebello de Sousa Sr. 'father'?

A lawsuit for something scandalous: Casa Pia de Lisboa was literally exporting children to the USA, handpicked by a certain Robert Kenneth through an American Medical Aid for Children Overseas Inc., for so-called 'inconceivable' purposes.

Such 'export' involved medical experiments with amalgams, dental metal alloys, with a degree of toxicity and effects that were intended to be studied.

"A Capital" and other Lisbon newspapers on February 3, 1976 addressed the topic among other revelations about Casa Pia.
